FTC 2013

The First Tech Challenge is way more than just building robots. The teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. The challenge for FTC 2016 can be found here.
In my opinion, one of the best robots that I had built for a competition was for FTC 2013. The robot was extremely agile and quick compared to the other competitors, but unfortunatey we were unable to secure first place. Instead we came 4th place and also won the Best Controls Award!
